Wetfoot Sailing Lessons

Children between the ages of 6-10 will have a fun introduction to sailing! They will learn the parts of a boat, how to rig a boat, sailing skills and games. They can learn to capsize, if comfortable under close supervision with our certified CANSail instructors.

Children must be able to swim with or without a lifejacket - but lifejackets will be worn when near or on water at all times. Please bring child's own lifejacket if they have one. Appropriate clothing for sailing includes beach shorts, protective sun shirt, hat, and footwear that does not come off in the water, such as crocs or water shoes. Also bring a snack, a water bottle, and sunscreen. Bring a towel, a change of clothes in case you get wet, a sweater in case you get cold, and rain gear. Tech fabrics (polyester, lycra etc) are better than cotton.

Instructors will follow cleanliness and physical distancing protocols when necessary, and students will be expected to follow them as well. Please call if you have any questions regarding sailing or health concerns. We are doing our very best to ensure the children have a safe and fun sailing experience.
